1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Drop The Fit website at dropthefit.app, the Drop The Fit mobile application, and all related services. By using our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
Drop The Fit is operated by Drop The Fit Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, with a registered office at Wyke House, Mill Road, Bergh Apton, Norfolk, NR15 1BQ. Contact us at [email protected].
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on our website or app. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. What Drop The Fit does
Drop The Fit is a platform that connects fashion influencers (“Creators”) with their followers (“Clients”) for paid, personalised styling sessions. Creators offer services including video calls, text-based chat sessions, and shoppable LookBooks. Clients book and pay for these services through the platform.
Drop The Fit is a marketplace platform. We facilitate the connection and transaction between Creators and Clients. We are not a party to the styling service itself. The styling advice, outfit recommendations, and product suggestions are provided by the Creator, not by Drop The Fit.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Drop The Fit. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. If any information changes, you must update your account promptly.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if your account is inactive for 12 months or more, or if we reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently.
5. Creator obligations
If you register as a Creator on Drop The Fit, you agree to the following.
You will provide styling services honestly and to a reasonable professional standard. You will not make false or misleading claims about your qualifications, experience, or expertise.
You will honour bookings you accept. If you need to cancel, you will do so with as much notice as possible using the cancellation tools in the app.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your rate card, availability, and service descriptions. You will keep this information up to date.
You are solely responsible for the styling advice and product recommendations you provide to Clients. Drop The Fit does not review, endorse, or guarantee the quality of any Creator's advice.
You will not use the platform to promote products or services that are illegal, counterfeit, or misleading.
You will not attempt to take Client relationships off-platform to avoid paying platform fees, including by sharing personal contact details, payment links, or booking links for services that were initiated through Drop The Fit.
You acknowledge that LookBooks you create using the Drop The Fit LookBook builder are hosted on our platform. You retain ownership of your creative work (the selection and arrangement of items, annotations, and styling advice). You grant Drop The Fit a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute your LookBooks to the Clients they are created for, and to use anonymised or aggregated LookBook data to improve our services.
6. Client obligations
If you register as a Client on Drop The Fit, you agree to the following.
You will attend booked sessions on time. If you need to cancel, you will do so in accordance with the Creator's cancellation policy as displayed on their profile.
You understand that styling advice is the Creator's personal opinion and is not a guarantee of any outcome. Purchase decisions are your own responsibility.
You will treat Creators with respect. Abusive, harassing, or discriminatory behaviour will result in immediate account suspension.
You will not record, screenshot, or redistribute session content (including video calls, chat messages, and LookBooks) without the Creator's explicit consent, except for your own personal use.
7. Bookings and payments
All session prices are set by the Creator and displayed on their profile before booking. The price you see is the price you pay. Drop The Fit does not add any platform commission to session prices.
Payment is taken at the time of booking via Stripe. Drop The Fit does not store your card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe in accordance with their terms of service and PCI DSS standards.
Once payment is confirmed, the booking is confirmed. You will receive a confirmation by email and push notification.
Funds are held by the platform until the session is completed. Upon completion, the full session price (less payment-processing fees charged by Stripe) is released to the Creator for payout via Stripe Connect. Payouts are processed weekly.
8. Cancellations and refunds
Each Creator sets their own cancellation policy, which is displayed on their profile at the time of booking. Cancellation policies may include options for full refund, partial refund, or no refund depending on when the cancellation is made.
If a Creator cancels a booking, the Client receives a full refund automatically.
If neither party joins a session within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session is automatically cancelled and the Client receives a full refund.
If you believe a session was not delivered as described or was of unacceptable quality, you may raise a dispute within 7 days of the session by emailing [email protected]. We will review the dispute and may issue a full or partial refund at our discretion. Our decision on disputes is final.
Drop The Fit is not obligated to issue refunds for dissatisfaction with the subjective quality of styling advice, provided the Creator attended the session and delivered the agreed service type.
9. Creator subscription and platform fees
Drop The Fit operates on a subscription model for Creators. To offer paid services and run a shopfront, a Creator pays a subscription fee of £20 per month. New Creators start with a 7-day free trial. Payment details are collected when the trial begins, and the first payment is taken when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Creator dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Drop The Fit does not take any commission on styling sessions, LookBook sales, or other purchases made through the platform. Creators keep 100% of what Clients and buyers pay, apart from payment-processing fees charged by our payment provider (Stripe). The monthly subscription is the only fee Drop The Fit charges Creators.
There is no charge for Clients to create an account or browse Creators. Clients pay only for the sessions or products they choose to book or buy.
We may change the subscription price or introduce new optional paid features in future. If we change the subscription price, we will give you reasonable advance notice, and you may cancel before the change takes effect.
10. Affiliate links and product purchases
LookBooks created by Creators may contain links to third-party retailer websites. When you click these links and make a purchase, you are buying directly from the retailer, not from Drop The Fit.
Drop The Fit is not responsible for the products sold by third-party retailers, including their quality, pricing, availability, delivery, or returns process. Any issues with purchases must be resolved directly with the retailer.
Affiliate links are provided by our affiliate network partners. The Creator may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through these links. Drop The Fit does not take any share of this commission. This does not affect the price you pay.
11. Video calls and session recordings
Video call sessions are facilitated through a third-party provider (currently Daily.co). Drop The Fit does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free video quality. If a session is disrupted by technical issues, the Creator and Client should attempt to reconnect. If the session cannot be completed, either party may contact [email protected] for assistance.
Session recordings are only made when both parties explicitly consent at the start of the call. Recordings are stored for 90 days and then permanently deleted. Recordings are accessible only to the Creator and Client involved in that session.
You must not record sessions using external tools (screen recording, audio capture, or similar) without the other party's explicit consent. Unauthorised recording may result in account termination and may constitute a breach of applicable law.
12. Intellectual property
The Drop The Fit name, logo, website design, app design, and underlying technology are owned by Drop The Fit Ltd. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of our platform without written permission.
Creators retain ownership of the styling advice, creative selections, and annotations they produce. Clients retain ownership of personal photos and wardrobe images they upload.
User-generated content (profile bios, reviews, messages) remains owned by the user who created it. By posting content on Drop The Fit, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use that content as necessary to operate and promote our services.
By using the Drop The Fit app, you grant Drop The Fit Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to use, reproduce, adapt, modify, publish, and display content created or shared on the app (including LookBooks, profile content, reviews, screenshots of in-app interactions, and other user-generated material) for promotional, marketing, and advertising purposes across any media, including but not limited to our website, social media channels, paid advertising, press materials, and partner promotions. Where reasonably possible we will credit the original Creator. Personal photos and wardrobe images uploaded by Clients will not be used for marketing without separate, explicit consent.
13. Prohibited conduct
You must not use Drop The Fit to engage in any unlawful activity, harass, threaten, or abuse other users, impersonate another person or entity, post false or misleading information, upload content that is obscene, hateful, or infringes third-party rights, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts, interfere with the operation of our platform, use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access our services, or circumvent platform fees by arranging off-platform payments for services initiated through Drop The Fit.
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, at our sole discretion and without prior notice where the breach is severe.
14. Disclaimers
Drop The Fit is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the quality of any Creator's services, advice, or product recommendations. Creators are independent individuals, not employees or agents of Drop The Fit.
We do not guarantee that affiliate-linked products will remain available, in stock, or at the price displayed at the time of LookBook creation. Product information is sourced from third-party feeds and may be inaccurate or outdated.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Drop The Fit's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of our services is limited to the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Drop The Fit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of our services.
Drop The Fit is not liable for the actions, advice, or conduct of any Creator or Client on the platform. Any dispute between a Creator and a Client regarding the quality of a styling session is between those parties. We may assist in resolving disputes at our discretion but are not obligated to do so.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Drop The Fit Ltd from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our services, your breach of these terms, your violation of any law or third-party rights, or any content you create or upload on the platform.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, this does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
We encourage you to contact us at [email protected] before pursuing formal legal action. We will try to resolve any dispute informally.
18. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or through the account settings in the app.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach.
On termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately. We will process any outstanding payouts owed to Creators within 30 days of account closure, provided no disputes are pending. Data will be retained or deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
19. General
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Drop The Fit regarding your use of our services.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations to a successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
